RockSolid's content management system, Point & Click CMSTM, now incorporates a significant enhancement, "friendly web addresses".
We've listened to our customers who've been asking for friendly web addresses in their sites based on our Point & Click CMSTM.
Friendly web addresses are considered a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practice and guidance published by all major search engines recommends using friendly web addresses.
Unlike many competing products, friendly web addresses in Point & Click CMSTM are automatically generated without any additional effort.
The system handles automatic redirection of visitors (and search engines) from old addresses to the new location when a page is renamed.
"Friendly web addresses" which are technically know as URLs (Universal Resource Locators) are important because they:
- Help potential and existing customers find you on the web. Search engines can more easily index sites using friendly addresses so they tend to show a preference to those sites in their results.
- Improve the look of marketing collateral, for example, addresses including in direct mail and or other collateral that links back to your site.
- Look more professional when other people create links to your site.
- Improve the readability of addresses within your site, and make it easier for visitors to navigate your site.
