RockSolid's content management system, RokcSolid CMSTM, now incorporates a significant enhancement, "clean web addresses".
Clean web addresses are considered a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practice and guidance published by all major search engines recommends using friendly web addresses.
Unlike many competing products, friendly web addresses in RockSolid CMSTM are automatically generated without any additional effort.
The system handles automatic redirection of visitors (and search engines) from old addresses to the new location when a page is renamed.
"Clean web addresses" which are technically know as URLs (Universal Resource Locators) are important because they:
- Help potential and existing customers find you on the web. Search engines can more easily index sites using friendly addresses so they tend to show a preference to those sites in their results.
- Improve the look of marketing collateral, for example, addresses including in direct mail and or other collateral that links back to your site.
- Look more professional when other people create links to your site.
- Improve the readability of addresses within your site, and make it easier for visitors to navigate your site.
